• A Zine A Day... Every evening, one of your zines will be released as a Flipbook on the website in the order that the zines appear in the google folder.  NATALI, stand up, gurl!  You kicked it open last night!  (Click here) 
• We'll start prep work for next week's portfolio and wrap up with BlackCrit today.

REMINDER ON SYLLABUS REVISIONS
December 3: RR #10 Due on BlackCrit (page not available yet)

• New RR Task: Read any one BlackCrit article. In writing, ask yourself and reflect on: why did BlackCrit originate in Black educational studies? How does BlackCrit connect to any ONE other thing I have read or written about this semester (think back on the canon zines especially)?
• We will discuss and begin planning for the "final" (a portfolio)

1. Choose a bossy, (CP)time-punctual, artistically-inclined facilitator
2. In your group, each individual shares a connection between BlackCrit and any other reading(s) and/or topic(s) this semester
3. Together, create a central definition/metaphor for BlackCrit and some kind of accompanying visual
4. Create a connected web, in some kind of creative way, that links BlackCrit to all the other reading(s) and/or topic(s) you discussed

The prolific Black Studies theorist, Fred Moten, argues that fugitivity involves Black people’s refusal to accept unjust standards and oppression. He calls fugitivity a kind of desire and spirit that is always dreaming of escape and transgression even when not achievable. Fugitivity embraces living on the outer edges, plays with what is considered improper, and does not compromise with racist regimes by rendering them as inevitable. Fugitive success is not always about annihilation of anti-black regimes though; it is also about cleverly and joyfully thwarting them from moment to moment (click here for more).
